With the way Bing is going, there is a feeling that it's going to take the lead soon and become the leading search engine.

Very much doubt it. The market share Google currently has, it'll not be anytime soon - if at all.

If Bing was 6 times larger than they are today, they still wouldn't be as big as Google. Bing loses money for Microsoft and they've spent milliions and millions of dollars but gained virtually nothing in market share. Wherever you read what you just said, I would quit. They don't know what they're talking about.

Well, according to statcounter.com, Google has 91.2% of the market share and bing only 3.5%. No ways they'll take over anytime soon.

Going to lead what? Where? How?

I'd love to see it, but the way things are right now I see a tough ride...

I would say Bing sends me less than 1% of all my Search Engine Traffic. And Google 99%

Bing can lead only in dream. Nothing is better than google.
The powerful searchengine, best mailing system, Google Docs, google maps, google news, youtube, blogger e.t.c everything is best.

I doubt it although I do wish it would evn out a little not much fun when Google have such lead. Then atleast if results drop off in one search engine its not the end of the world as you would still be getting results from the other 2, would me having to keep an eye on all three which in one way it would make doing SEO work harder but atleast all your eggs are not in one basket.

That's poassible. But It still takes time and more effort before they can outrank google.

I dont think Bing is going to lead Google now or sooner. Google market share in search engine is too wide for Bing stumble on.

    Most people don't think so.
They've been around a year and a half and not made a dent. Lack of popularity due to lack of use despite millions spent on advertising it. There's a reason for that.

As of now, Bing's nothing. Google's the king.

But who knows what could happen in a few years... Bing may come up with something new, ground-breaking, that totally kills Google. I'd love to see that.

There are reasons why people like Google and why Google will always be number 1 in the search engine niche.

Results are almost to perfection, they've developed a lot of support for webmasters and it is simply the most popular out there since they are always trying to improve.

Google would have to mess up big time for any competitor to take over.... and they aren't doing that

For those wishing Bing to succeed, why are you hoping that Microsoft, a known, convicted corporate criminal, fined for $2 billion on two continents and known for illegal activities, succeeds over a company that gives you everything for free?
