The gov. has been banning adult and other sites that are against it, and others can be accessed normally.:)

How can they still get away with this censorship - it's crazy! The next uprising must be due soon!

I don't think China will block or impose ban on BING search engine.

Just another example of the totalitarian Chinese government trying to control the masses. The time will come when it will all eventually blow up in their face. You can't continue to try and control every aspect of people's lives in a country of that size and expect to have no consequences.

There is no differences between a communist and capitalism country, a country, in essence, is in the interest of some people and against the majority.

    Are you sure about this?
What are their reasons about banning the sites?
I guess China government does not hold issues like this?

In China are already more computers and Internet users than in US - only they are using own language and that not worth too much for rest of us. A same - English knowledge is limited.
Even I have fast connection inside China, going international that like modem connection

I have travelled extensively in China, and I'd be surprised if the P.R.C. didn't block Bing... :(

everybody be careful.... otherwise China will block DP too....hehe...

Chinese cyber team bought a new DVD, their target is to fill the DVD with the list of banned sites. So, they will keep banning the sites. So, poor chinese people... they have baidu, youku, tuodo etc(these sites provide only well filtered contents - can see nothing against the government or china)...hehe...

So, chinese people think "Chinese Government is so great" ...lol

This isn't simply truth, Chinese midia says day after day that China is great, is palying an ever important part in the world, and that is because of the communist party.

However many Chinese want to know the world outside China, they want to know how the rest of the world look us, they want to know the truth.

That is why although the gov. banned numerous websites, we always figure out a way to visit them.

We want freedom, and we are getting close to the truth.

So a search engine being blocked? Seems this country doesn't have a big enough thirst for knowledge, do they block you from reading things like a almanac?
