I checked my traffic this morning and saw 3 visitors from bing but when I type the url in my firefox, I just could not see anything but: The sever is not responding. Does that mean bing is bing blocked or just dead?
Yep. Check it out: http://www.smh.com.au/news/technolo...e-4-anniversary/2009/06/03/1243708488047.html
I have no problem accessing hotmail, all the time, I could not update my blog with blogspot long ago, and only recently did I realize that I could not watch youtube videos. Oh I do not like this man.
I heard China will block Adult sites next month , am gonna miss my precious Chinese surfers but does this decision applied on Hong Kong too
I did not know China was enforcing such a ban on so many sites! The list is huge with some very prominent names including Twitter, YouTube, Bing, Live, Hotmail, Flickr, Opera, Wordpress and Blogger!!! Regards, RightMan
as far i know only hope for you guy to remove the limit/ban on those site is by using High speed VPN connection..because using proxy is a bad option , will be a problem to stream youtube videos
Is it even possible to use the Internet in China? It seems like every search term is censored except "The government is awesome."
The only way that google was allowed into china, was because the management of google agreed to censor its results. Any search engine that refuses to censor certain topics is blocked by the great firewall of china. The management of "Bing" might have refused to censor its results, or might not have a way to censor results. So there is a very good chance that the chinese government has blocked bing.
that is 100% true...hehe.... it is ok if the government is awesome, but what is true? pls check this:http://news.webindia123.com/news/articles/India/20090611/1272757.html and: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GhostNet I think no other countries will do these kind of worst things.
If what you say is really true, it reflects very bad on google. I did not know it allowed manipulation of search results to satisfy the whims of certain autocratic leaders! I would commend and applaud the Microsoft management for not falling on their knees for little commercial gains... Regards, RightMan
Yep,, dont just take my word for it, here are some links to news sites to backup my statement. These news articles are from 2006. So the censorship has been going on for at least 3 years. The BBC - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4645596.stm Wired.com - http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2006/01/70081 CNET - http://news.cnet.com/Google-to-censor-China-Web-searches/2100-1028_3-6030784.html If BING refused to censor its search results like what google has done. There is a very good chance that the Chinese government will block access to BING.
