Bing is Bung

Discussion in 'Bing' started by DRUGGIST, Jan 19, 2010.

I recently set up a website, and had it optimised. Within a couple of days Google was able to find the site. 5 weeks on I still am not receiving any search results in Bing. There are no broken links etc.

I have posted the site details on Bing! official discussion site. 5 hours later when I Google one of my keywords "locum pharmacist" Google finds the site and the discussion on the Bing! forum. Bing! still doesn't index either.

Maybe it's just sleepy? Did you do a submission to speed things along?

Sometimes it just takes awhile for bing to pick up your website.

Bing just took a lot longer than google for my websites but on the bright side I rank 1st page BING for my keywords but Google has those same key words in the 50-60s

I rank #2 in both Yahoo and BING for one keyword and 50-60 in google
and get ZERO traffic from both yahoo and bing off that keyword

99.9999% of people obviously use google so whats the point in even being indexed in bing-- I have no clue.

I have the same problem op. Thats why I focus mainly on Google. I also rank high on these other SE and get very little traffic from them.

Yeah, I posted on their forum and got a response that I wasn't penalized or anything and I needed more backlinks, but I had like 300 backlinks already. It wasn't the keyword, it was my site, it wasn't in there. That's why I gave up, and hopefully one day it'll be there when I check.

IMO, bing is a very good search engine, very surprising for MSoft.

Bing is not picking up or crawl the site. No one can compare on Google bot because it is always quick on picking up and crawling the site. I think you'll need a bing webmaster account if you don't have it yet.

Bing ain't too bad for a Microsoft Service. But what does matter is that ranking is a little better than Google.
