Its a long way for 'em coz they ve to compete with the big players (yahoo n google)....! lets wait n watch whats gonna happen.....! Thanks Cheers
Google of course, but the numbers from Bing lately have been remarkable. I think Bing has taken 1/3 of the traffic for my niche, and our site is still doing as good. It will be interesting to see what transpires. I use Google by habit. But Bing has a better looking page, and it seems to work reasonably good. Personally, I think the Bing ads are remarkably dorky and something better could be made.
I wish bing well because it has to be a good thing for us publishers to have more competition out there. I wouldn't be surprised if bing's advertising is targeted especially towards the younger end of the market, because that is where new trends usually grow.
Let it keep growing like the traffic it has been sending me this past 2 months which has pasted google in traffic searches.
Microsoft as a whole has been a decline for a few months now. It may still dominate the PC and search markets, but it is falling slightly. Especially since Google has decided to make a move and take on Microsoft in the operating system world. So don't be surprised if Bing manages to take off over the course of the next year or so.
Bing has steadily risen to where it now gives me 8.3% of my search engine traffic. By comparison, Google sends 61.5% of my SE traffic, and Yahoo sends 25.6%.
Anyone else get the feeling MS is just trying to get back at Yahoo by stealing their traffic. Considering Yahoo kept Microsoft on a string for like 5 months and then finally cut it. In any event, Bing is as good/better than Yahoo in my opinion and is verging on Google quality. I am willing to be that they give Google a run for their money somewhere down the line here. We all know that Search Engines rise to the top, but they almost always eventually fall. Google should be at the point of falling, hard.
dadaas, regardless you should pay attention to your other sources of traffic. Things could change with one search engine leaving with the others to fall back on. So you should care about your rankings across the board.
Just out of curiosity, how is Ask.com shaping up with your site's search engine traffic stats? Are you using a Web based analytics package like Google Analytics, or your server logs? (Off-Topic: By the way Jim, has anyone ever told you how HARD of a person you are to contact?)
Personally, when I search for something, I expect a good answer on the front page. The search results I have received from bing have been el stinko so far. They have a long way to go to get any where near close to google or yahoo. I hope they are up to it.
Bing grown very fast because it is new search engine from microsoft. Many user just try on it and they might leave after some day. So, the data cant tell anything until certain period
that's about right, at least 5-6 times more from google. bing will have a long way to go and it's results are so reliable/good if you ask me. but of course i am just one person looking at things from my perspective and niche/needs. so we will see share of the users total in 3-6 months or more, and also how bing meshes with yahoo....man, they've spent an awful lot of money on this...i hope the search results improve and my traffic too since they'll soon be 20-25% of the market i guess...
Google controls more than 70% of total search market, MS and Y combined has a long way before they can pose and threat to GOOGLE.
