Someone's always building a better mouse trap! I remember when Netscape was king over taking Mosaic way back when.

Quit reading the rags and start following the technical details and differences and PAY ATTENTION! In the UK, and only parts of the UK alone, Google slowed to a crawl and did NOT crash! THE BIGGER DIFFERENCE is the AROUND THE WORLD BING CRASHED. Notice the difference?
Show me the potential of a 3rd place finisher, Bing, which has never been higher than its current position, as Live Search, and is still far behind Yahoo.
They didn't get great power based on fear and if you think Bing will replace them for that reason, don't you think, then, that people will fear Bing? People already disdain Microsoft. But you also presume people fear Google. What is there to fear? Microsoft is a convicted criminal on two continents yet Google has never been and gives you things for free but you think Google is the one to be feared?

So you think Bing will have not have to compete with them all?

But Netscape only lost to dirty tricks by Microsoft for which Microsoft was fined over $2 billion dollars on two continents.

Damn, you didn't even see the article, think you have a too good thoughts of google:

    from first article:
    Shut down = CRASH

    From the second article:
    brought down= CRASH

Google have atleast convicted for one crime:
    http://blogoscoped.com/forum/148951.html
    and

Like I said, quit reading The Daily News and start with something technical, people who know what they're talking about and was linked to earlier. Google did NOT crash despite what those pop newspapers and what People magazine may say.
Lol! You're trying to compare a $600k fine over a legal fight over advertising to a more than $2 Billion dollar fine on two continents over anti-trust violations? You crack me up.

Could that be part of the reason Microsoft released Windows 7 early?

What with the imminent release of Google Chrome OS for free next year, a linux based system, that is bound to be a Google like clean up of the ugly Ubuntu linux base config!

Going by back info I think Microsoft are presently running scared of the release of Google Chrome OS and are hopeing to lock in users to Bing, somewhat clutching at straws with visual enhancements, and the odd different "online gadget enhancement" as it we're.

Microsoft reek of prey running in the sights of a Lion/Tiger (in Google) that is on the edge of ruining Microsofts things, unless some deal becomes available that Google can play Microsoft about with like a kitten with a ball, or a puppy with a stick.

Microsoft are running scared and quaking in their boots no doubt behind the scenes working out how they can combine thier acquired search techs (tech like their established links with alta vista TM's and yahoo etc) along with Googles without losing too much face and facing up to the fact Googles deal for next 30 years with NASA amongst other things has asured Bing without Google cooperation is always going to be a Google win and a Bing 8 to perhaps 12% thing.

Even twitter was down very many times for the past few years (fail whale). It is just a hiccup of the startups. Eventually it will solve itself.

every website craches. Check for yorself...google has crashed couple of times.
The gmail server has been down too. every site is prone to it...its technology, which is never 100% perfect.
Plus..bing is just in its initial steps..so give it some time.

Their results are below par, their thinking is limited only unto what their biggest competitor can do. Since they are already BIG in server technology its a slapstick on face. I just hope that the Bing and yahoo merger goes kaput because whatever yahoo is, its 1000x much better than Bing.
