Maybe not, Bing is now number 2 and it will continue to become number 1.

Nop, Bing within a month become number 15 Top Sites accrording to Alexa and become number 2 search engine according to StatCounter.

It will eventually overtake the old Live search as number 3 Top Sites. Bing is the real killer and Google is scared to death :)

I don't think that we should believe in alexa's results, but the fact remains that the traffic from bing is growing daily which means that bing is gathering more and more users.

I guess the question I have is why is it important that Bing becomes #1 or #2?

If anything Google has been trying forever to stay away from monopolizing everything. I mean Google has everything (searches, products, ideas) yet you hardly hear anything about it on TV, radio, etc.

The innovative ideas that Google offers are far superior to those of its competitors. So, I do not understand the dislike for Google in some circles. What is it that people do not like about Google?

I was a big yahoo user until Bing.com came out. Now, I use Bing all the time. I like the design, clean lines and layout.

I am actually shocked on how nice it is. Google easily beats yahoo in my point of view, but this new bing looks nice!

I can see them competing with Googlew as far as search. Younger crowds and kids are using Bing a lot. as fsat as it has grown I could see it catching up and competin fast.

Bing will gain more traffic and usage but at the end it will come down like all the other Microsoft intents on the SE business. Because there is nothing new with Bing, on bing.com still you get the same crappy results you used to get with live.com or msn.com In my believe microsoft should stick with one site and create something really new, not just a change of domain and branding.

Bing is not just a change of domain and branding. It's a decision engine that is more relevant than Google or Yahoo. You can find out more below:

It's the results that count. The pretty pictures don't mean a thing when your looking for something.
