I prefer google as my primary Search Engine but I like Bing too. Let Bing take a little more time to compete with google. After all competition is really good for us. The quality and indexing speed of both of them will improve.

Bing is capturing the market slowly but surely, the same goes for Yahoo :) Google's got competition coming unless of course it decides to launch it's OS early :p

Bing is taking time but it's going to be hard for Bing to beat Google anyway.

it is capturing market, but it can not be said "Bing beats Google" as what the thread title states. It has the long long way to go for bing! Won't be an easy task for MS for sure.

I dont think so, Bing is slowly but steadily climbing the ladder towards becoming a better search engine :) and when that happens i think it's goona be one hell of a fight between Bing and Google :D

let me know how your results are. personally, bing is good for shopping because it has the cashback program. as you may know, iphone 3GS was recently release. cashback gives you back what I believe 30% of the cost to purchase a iphone 3GS. the only downside is that CashBack is only available to the U.S.

I agree with you. Bing is very limited right now, cash back is only available in US. adSense for publisher is only available in the U.S. Although Bing is gaining traction in U.S. it is doing just okay from around the word. I guess this was a strategic decision since the U.S. search market is the largest in terms of volume and advertising dollars. so until then, things are still yet to be determined.

lol, you never know. anybody recall how MSFT brought down Netscape and conquer to OS industry.

I think Msn will pretty soon start developing tools in competition for Google, Bing is pretty Shiny which i find more of a turn off, whereas Google is simple and effective, yet over cluttered.

Pretty cool but it's simply a novelty, Google won't be surpassed because of some twitter feeds.

The web is bigger than twitter.

While i agree with that Marty the fact of the matter is that MSN is trying to make progress by adding tools that Google hsa pretty much already presented, though i have the feeling it wont be too long before Google comes up with something that'll pretty much Kill msn as we know it lol :D

So, I have some facts about it.
There are lots of different opinions on this but the areas where SEO experts seem to have reached consensus are as follows:

    - Bing gives stronger emphasis to keywords in URLs.

    - Bing seems to give more weight to capitalized terms.

    - Bing prefers pages from large sites.

    - Bing attaches greater value to domain age than Google (the longer the domain has been registered the better).

    - Bing approves of sites with high levels of content (at least 300 words ideally).

    - Bing appears to favour high numbers of link outs.

    - Bing considers the title tag to be of upmost importance. Keep it relevant.

However, it is really important to stress here that we are not talking about major differences. These are only very slight distinctions and more time is required before they are confirmed beyond doubt.

@alai2 apparently is a dumpster diver digging up 3-year old threads cause he has nothing else to do.

I like Google being simple. More features means complicated.
