Google will still be the premier search engine, as it has more going for it then just search.

Im sad that Yahoo changed to bing. The Yahoo Slurp Crawler(a combo of Inktomi Search and Yahoo Search Technology) is much better than Bing's garbage crawler msnbot...

 

Yes Google still the King of search and I surrender for now. But I still believe the Google killer is still on its way

Yahoo and bing index pages slowly and its the problem of them and google has problems in search results so you cant select one of them. every person maybe use of each of them for special terms and all of them will be live for ever and will be used. But in the current time i think many people trust to Google results more than the others.

 

I do not think Microsoft and Yahoo combination will be able to defeat google, google in the search field of a strong, not so easy to be defeated

 

As Google is going to be build an Operating System, If the Google OS will Succesfull then Google can't be challenged in near future. However, Google SE great.

LOL, there wont be any google killer that would suddenly appear and take over from google. Google has made it traffic and reputation by providing quality searches over so many years. If there is any google killer ever, it would start slowly and overtake google in 5 - 10 years time.

Google provides a good search engine, however, it is not perfect. Many a times I do not get the result I want. The top results are garbage, thanks to so called SEO experts. There certainly needs to be some innovation in area.

I can see how it would seem that way if you never go out anywhere, but the internet isn't the world and, even though by controlling the internet you could in theory control many aspects of modern life, it is very far from being everything to everyone in the world.

 

Agreed, Google is just a small ripple on the Internet Ocean. Every now and then there comes new bigger ripples and you can't stop them

 

I doubt it. Yahoo and Bing are spending heavily just to keep the 30% of search that they have. I doubt that they even have 30%. It probably closer to 20% of organic search.

 

Bing & Yahoo vs Google:

1. Bing's and Yahoo's spiders both are slower in crawling pages / sites - so it would mean Google's organic search results are always more up-to-date.
2. Bing's and Yahoo's algorithms are not as good as that of Google's: Google can be a big target of "spammers" because of its shear search traffic volume, but its web/anti-spam team and its anti-spam algorithm are relatively good compared to those of Bing's and Yahoo's.
