I'm not sure Google will be suddenly wiped out.

I've looked at Bing (albeit briefly) and while it certainly looks interesting (I'll go back on it later) Google still has other things going for it besides the search engine: adsense, Google Docs ect. that might make it able to survive long enough to adapt.

That is, however, just my opinion.

So far so I liked Bing, and yes found it a bit better and faster than Google. But I do not think it will be easier for Microsoft and Yahoo to break the Google user base so easily. Google has provided exceptional services, and people won't forget that. Moreover, even Google can try to optimize itself further..

I heard a lot about bing before now....... now I had searched some terms & found that this search engine is faster than google.

i have doubt on quality search results if the bing could provide in competition of google.

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.. Bing is still Microsoft, which is still struggling with its internet branch, and won't change a lot of people's search behavior.

you can say that bing and yahoo are giving trouble to google. But if google guys maintian their minds and don't do something unwanted they are fine.

Google is not about search engine anymore, they got many other big names in their portfolio like youtube, orkut, google earth, gmail, etc. So it won't be easy taking google out. This battle just started and it will continue for almost the next 10-20 years before we actually see a winner. Or who knows there might be some new company in these years who could take advantage of the google - binghoo fight and take them out both?

everythings possible in the world of internet lol

Bing would provide the search technology across Yahoo Network and Yahoo would provide Advertising (PPC and Media Ads) across MSN and Bing Network.

Bing and Yahoo would provide much affordable and profitable PPC and Media Ads for Webmasters and Advertisers.

Bing global market share according to StatCounter is 28% and Yahoo is 22% that's total of 50%.

    Is that significant or what?

    Is Google already feared Bing?

    How about Bing Plus Yahoo?

Doesn't matter how good the competition is, Google is always developing new ideas that others just don't do.

I remember the exact same question popping up a few months ago re Wolfram Alpha.

    Do I need say more?
