Bing = A Nightmare

    It's been over a week now for both of my sites and neither has been indexed. I type in the url and all I get is backlinks. I type in my strongest keywords which I'm on first pages for on 2 other search engines (google and yahoo) and all I get is competitors.
    I checked my Microsoft Webmaster center and it says it hasn't been crawled/scored/indexed yet but at the same time is said "No" for Blocked. I checked Back-links and I have 176 5 star back-links (It's only a few weeks old).
    Have you guys encountered long wait times with Bing indexing your site?
    I have all the needed information on mine. Authentication code, sitemap, etc.

    I have the .xml authentication method used and it recognizes that because it says Current Method: XML and the only way it would know that is if it checked for it.
    So how much longer should i expect to wait?

    I agree with Victoryreds; if you've done everything you can (submitting your site to bing/etc) you should sign up for some adspace with bing. That way they'll know your site is valid and begin crawling it. See http://www.ehow.com/how_5093537_advertise-bing.html for details.

    It is been more than 2 weeks & my site is still not indexed. Even though the site is updated with fresh content regularly.... Forget introducing new features.. atleast bing should index new links & sites faster

    You can't please them all, so if Yahoo and Google are doing good for you, please be patient or ignore bing for the moment. After Bing Yahoo tie up - I am sure they would be working on some strategy to integrate the 2 search engines and I hope you rise back to #2 on yahoo / bing (bingoo) combo!

    Good Luck!

    Thank you guys. My site is new so I need to build a strong following right away, that's why I am desperate to get listed. Guess all I can do now is wait like you say.

    Right, it looks like sites' indexing or ranking from bing is always lagging behind google and yahoo. :)

    Bing is not as fast as google.
    But few years back we had to wait more than 2 weeks to get indexed in google. You are feeling frustrated because google indexed you faster. Organic SEO needs patience. But once you get there you can enjoy lot of free traffic.
