it doesn't say the exact height of the tower. I wonder how tall this compared to the Freedom tower which is about to be built in NY which is suppose to hold the record for tallest when complete.

    Agreed, would be interesting info.

For what it's worth the Freedom tower is supposed to be 1776 feet (year of the US independence) without antenna. And about 2,050 with antenna. The tallest building right now are the Petronas Towers in Malaysia (1,483 feet). Taipei 101 in Taiwan should be completed soon, which will put it at 1,667 feet.

it says it supposed to be nearly a half mile tall.
    1 mile = 5280 feet.
    1/2 mile = 2640
so the height is equal to whatever 'nearly' 2640 feet is.

    :p

Great. NOW we find out that Osama is not really a terrorist, he's just a "tallest building enthusiast" and was simply trying to take out his competition.

At any rate, I hadn't heard of this and it's a bit interesting. If the Freedom tower is going to be 1776 with the antenna and 2050 with it, then perhaps 2050 will be the demise of the US of A? Since 1776 is the year of America's independence, maybe the antenna represents our rise to the top?

What's even more interesting is the building that Binladin group is building. They are trying to beat the Freedom tower in height. A bit ironic?

All that said, the reason what's his name bumped the thread is because it's a PR 1 ranked thead. =P He was going for some PR 1 backlinks heh heh
