They're not too happy that we also sell local advertsing and happen to own all the domain names related to wakulla and news They've even started telling our content contributors to wait and submit to us after the newspaper is printed (it's a weekly and we scoop them daily). . . go figure huh? I guess they think the web is a fad that'll be over soon.
Hows the billboard working out for you? Do you think people driving by will be able to remember how to spell the URL?
No change in traffic yet - it's only been a few days. The domain name is the same as the County that I live in and the target audiance are locals or other's with some connection to the community so they shouldn't have a hard time remembering it (I hope ). Just in case, years ago I bought common mispellings of the domain and 301 them to it. I'll publish some site (and advertising sales) stats in the middle end of next month so we can tell either way if its helped. -jay
