This is something I've been toying with...though i haven't checked prices yet...i heard it's actually a pretty affordable way to advertise.. what do you think, would billboard advertising work well for a website?
Like most things I'm sure your success rate depends on what your website niche is. I had considered it myself, but I only live in a 100,000 person city...so my success would probably be limited.
If you have a highly innovative website.. maybe it'll work.. honestly, people don't usually remember URLs from billboards.
Do you have any possible 'researched' material to back this statement up? Or are you just blowing smoke?
I haven't figured that one out yet truthfully...and it would be a business niche...which i'm sure would be popular for the billboard I'm thinking of... the one i'm looking at isn't on the main highway...it's actually near a little ghetto on some private land (where everyone heading towards the business section of downtown has to pass)...and it's only 400 a month...
I remember OwnACondo.com from billboards here in chicago. I don't need a condo now... but if I do then I know where to go, eh?
.com billboards attract my attention more than anything, i still remember about.com plastered on the side of a building in san fran, and any other .com ive seen to/from work
yeah i also wouldnt remember a URL from a billboard unless it was a very catchy advert and a very simple domain to remember.
advertising on billboard cost even more than buying a textlinks or PPC campaign actually. It would just we an optional marketing ways after you already succeed in online advertising/promotion.
If you have idea like this billboard, that can work ( it is most successful ad from a law firm though it has created controversy )
not always more expensive...like I said...i found one for $400...that's a reasonable budget per month for buying links... lol, that's a good one thanks for all the pointers everyone...who knows, maybe i'll get it for a month or two and see how it goes... now just to see how much it costs to get the design made...lol
