Well ain't that sweet that History can repeat on itself. I dare say bits and pieces of Linux can be found in his latest Vista OS! ;-) What parts? Anybody can say this but you must prove it. Go ahead and let us know what parts.
Well, what pisses me off about Google is the new link that I see in the top right corner in my browser next to sign in called, igoogle... So Google is going after Apple now too. Apple has itunes, ipod and well you know... I'm really, really starting to hate Google. igoogle... Freaking what's next?
Bill Gates says that Google popularity is due to stockmarket play and by press although they have only one serious product ‘Search’

Think of what I said as being a History Lesson. rmartish wrote: Well ain't that sweet that History can repeat on itself. It's no problem proving it cause many programs have what I generally refer to as common subroutines. Many languages have their equivalants which would simply be the building blocks to making programs or indeed Operating Systems. There's nothing wrong in doing this cause we're dealing with common program subroutines.
Bill Gates says that Google popularity is due to stockmarket play and by press although they have only one serious product ‘Search' Well since bill said it it must be true. LOL Tell bill how does it feel to have there office suite challenged online. It adcenter go no where. Vista not selling
I don't think so. Microsoft is going to be the next Microsoft. They've reinvented themselves several times. They're in the process of doing it again. Kinda like the way bits and pieces of Unix found it's way into Linux?
He was actually quoting someone else, the quote functionality that makes it easier to see who used what is too "normal" for him. -Michael

Even the "WORD' UIX is not in Linux... yepp you can find letters N, I, U and X in both On serious note, Linux wasn't based on Unix, it was actually based on MINIX, a Not so popular Operating system written by Andrew S. Tanenbaum.
I think that Google needs competition now (but is Microsoft the company to give it to them???). At the end of the day competition is a good thing but the fact of the matter is is that Microsoft are the probably the only company with the $$ to give them a challenge. Imagine if Google and Microsoft merged, the net would be pretty much totally owned; Let's hope *that* never happens!!
Well Unix is collaboration of a lot of people. Remember that Unix and BSD both owe there lively hood to all the Universities. Berkeley is tops.
Its not 'Rip-off', no Unix code were included in Minix. yes at the most you can say A.S.T. made the command structure and Kernel based on Unix functioning.
