Under the terms of the agreement, parties including Gates' Cascade Investment LLC, Kingdom Hotels International and Isadore Sharp, Four Seasons' chairman and chief executive, will buy the Toronto company for $82 per share. Kingdom Hotels is owned by a trust created by Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, a nephew of the late King Fahd and one of the richest businessmen in the Middle East. Gates is acquiring more and more in the hospitality market
that guy has far too much money lol anyone know his current wealth? several hundred billion i'd imagine
Doesn't that mean that he trying to find new avenues to generate more money. IT field , i feel is getting too competitative , so may be he is going for easy options.
or maybe he's trying to innovate ?? who knows ... he won't reveal it until something comes out in a result... but hey he got enough money that a guy can't run out of lol.... atleast i won't.
Not IT field being more competitive. The guy has more money than he knows what to do with,. He DONATED 5 BILLION to AIDS RESEARCH! That is alot of money to give away you know. His partner in Microsoft is trying to build the first personal airline for SPACE. I mean what else can you do when you have that kind of money. YOU HAVE NO PROBLEMS! You dont sit on internet message boards writing posts or asking questions. You have fun but HOW?
If I was a billionaire I would make up a fake name and sit around on DP all day when I wasn't playing pool or riding my golf cart around the neighborhood. I would also purchase a large pumpkin tosser to throw new cars 100s of yards. And of course I would buy a monster truck to run the cars I threw over with.
You could do that a 1000 times and still have a huge pile of money left. I would invest in viagra, and new wives.
Meh gates is rich he doesnt have to worry about money he spent 3 million on a book cmonnn hes filthy rich lol
it's natural for him to invest his huge amount of money...everyone wants more, even if they have more than enough
Actually, he probably has less now because the stock market hasn't been too kind to him in the last few years, though it is gaining ground again. Microsoft's stock use to be $50 a share, now it is less than $30 a sahre. So, in effect, his wealth which is promarily derived from his ownership of Microsoft stock is almost less than half of waht it use to be.
Yep and he's also a huge philanthropist. I believe he's stepping down from MS shortly to work mainly on his charities. Say what you will about Microsoft but I think you have to give the guy credit for this stuff.
