Or he was more in touch with and concerned about doing what the American people wanted, so says his poll ratings throughout his presidency vs GWB's
Seems all Clinton was concerned about was his popularity. The American people wanted things to seem free, even if they really are still. Bush wants the American people to continue existing, so no matter what people think of him, he fights our enemies as Truman did in WW2, and Roosevelt.
LOL just stop talking dude Here's my problem with Bush in a nutshell. We need a President. Not a cowboy. A great thinker who is actually intelligent enough to sit down and figure out a way to get us out of this mess. Or perhaps one that wouldn't have gotten us into it in the first place. We need someone who can come up with his own lines and not just repeat party slogans like stay the course. It's like his telepropmter gets stuck every time he speaks
Not really. Clinton's ratings dipped into the 30's as well. Though Bush is back in the 40s overall and 55% approval on the handling of the war on terror. But, poll numbers only matter when they are bad
I see so it's all Clinton's fault. Thanks for clearing that up. How can you single out the Clinton Administration when the Regan administration actually armed and trained these Arab/Persian terrorist (to fight Russian occupiers)? It's no ones fault. Sure, Bush is a better war time president (along with most Republican presidents) but I can't solely pick out Clinton and pretend like he is the cause of our problems in the Middle East. Aside from the scandals I felt Clinton did a good job but I know he probably did a little too much to avoid going to War in the Middle East. The Republican Party answers to the U.S. while the Democratic Party answers to the World. That's the problem with the Democratic party and that's why a Democratic president would end up handling the Iran crisis almost like a U.N. president. Waiting.... and Waiting... and Waiting some more. George Bush, took a risk and decided to attack Iraq to scare Iran away from acquiring nuclear weapons and it was a good idea. It just didn't work. That's a whole lot better than the wait and see attitude. That being said I would much rather have Jed Bush or John Mccain as president than Hilary Clinton. She wouldn't do well in a war time situation. Peace isn't going to be an option in a few years.
Ahh I knew there would only be one of you brave enough to talk poll numbers. I'm glad you're here GT Number 1) The 55% rating his for his rating on security not how he's handling the war. Nice try. Hell that doesn't even make sense when over 66% of the American people oppose the war now does it? Republicans are ahead on security because they are known to be the hawkish party so that just makes sense. But the sad part is that part of that 55% he gets only because he happens to be a Republican so he's associated with being good on security. Number 2) Know why republicans love to keep pointing at that mid range 55% number as if it's an 80% approval rating? Because it's literally the only issue he breaks 50% on! It's classic Karl Rove smoke and mirrors. They keep repeating that number until people start to just take it for his overall approval rating. Don't worry about all those numbers on every single other issue, just focus on this one. The president is not only a bumbling idiot but more importantly for you he's a political liablity and the sooner the Republicans realize that and throw him to the wolves completely the better off your party will be.
You can seethe and whine about it all day long and try your best to spin it into doom and gloom, but the bottom line is, that 55% is on the war on terror. And just as I noted, poll numbers only matter when they are low. When they start rising, people have excuses, right George? http://www.theconservativevoice.com/article/17498.html May I offer you some tissue?
</uncontrolable laughter>... oh wait.. you're still here? Why am I laughing? Because a Republican President is half way through his second term and you're proud of a recent 5% windfall rise in his poll numbers that didn't even break 45%... And by the way we don't need excuses. We're talking about a president who literally (no exaggeration) needs a terrorist attack attempt to get a 5% raise in his poll numbers. A president who is such a lame duck that hardly any of his agendas (coughcoughsocial securitycoughcough) can get by now. That's not an excuse, that's just sad.
Why are you laughing? You just got owned, again. 55% Get your facts straight when you come up against unca GTech You need all the excuses you can come up with. And Lord knows you are trying! Spin it geogie boy! Spin that doom and gloom when you get owned, don't be shy
I was talking about his overall approval rating which is the most important and happens to be only 45% even after a 5% spike, no? <GTech imitation>Oh yeaaah you just got owned 42% wooohooo</GTech imitation> Terrorist attack plot - Increase in his polls. Where's the spin?
Well, let's see, 55% was a spin, but it backfired on ya, so you had to do some damage control there. That somehow mentioning the numbers suggest it's bad to be aware of a gain by making excuses for the rise in poll numbers. A nice comical ring. It's classic Karl Rove smoke and mirrors. The president is not only a bumbling idiot but more importantly for you he's a political liablity. Yep, it's all there. All the spin and classic signs of advanced BDS. More tissue?
