Foxnews has an interesting story today, Bikers Roll to Soldiers' Funerals to Counter Anti-Gay Protests:
It makes me want to buy another bike.

Noppid, please read the article. The people protesting were saying it is great that the soldiers are dying. They claim it is divine retribution the soldiers are dying because they are fighting to protect a nation (the US) that protects fags etc and some other sick shit. They plan on protesting as many funerals as possible.
The bikers are there to protect the families from seeing them.

    Cheers, ROAR

Anyone who would disrupt a funeral is a shitbag - period!

As a citizen, and military veteran myself, I am appalled that this is taking place. These neo-activist even had the odacity to protest funerals of deceased coal miners in West Virginia.

Several states are passing legislation to distance these people (for lack of better term) from any funeral.

Sadly, as some of these funerals take place on military installations, states laws do not have any affect; it is federal reservation not governed by state laws.

Kentucky legislator Mike Weaver recently introduced a law here that deals with this - please feel free to make a comment on that blog or tell your state representatives and senators to do the same; better yet, petition your US Rep or Senator to pass federal laws protecting the dignity of funerals.

Do the bikers have a website? I'd happily donate some gas money!

I have a business partner who's been bugging me to get involved in the SEO contest and though I've been intrigued and support, I've not been really behind it .... now I am. No offense to Alek and his charity, but now I am in this contest 100% and in it to win so every penny can go to these great citizens and their cause - watch out ;)

noppid - it's closed minded thinking like that ... ah never mind, you're not worth it either.

These guys are helping protect the dignity of military funerals - nothing else!

I just got off the phone with Jason Wallin who's heading this effort - their site is currently down because they need to upgrade servers as a result of getting over 20,000 page views every 15 minutes!

I'm going balls to the wall with my support for these guys - thanks for posting this Will.

That does appear to be the case in this instance. You appear to have drawn exactly the wrong conclusion about the content of the article.

    My thoughts exactly.

    It's a matter of class.

And, am I crazy here, or does harassing a bunch of grieving United States Marines not seem like the smartest thing to do?

Will - did you know that these guys are basically in your backyard in CO?

I'll be talking with them so more tomorrow. I have calls into a few prominate veterans and a few celebs that I work with - they're going to get more support for sure, but all the more will be all the better.

This radical idiotic group has been on my radar for a little while now, so I am so thankful that you pointed out these patriots who are counteracting their movement - THANKS.

Did anyone hear about serbia or something where the national far right party got all its followers to beat up anyone in the gay pride protest... :)

No offence to gays, but i dont believe in all the pride protesting, all they are trying to do is provoke people who don't like gays (who are just as entitled to their beliefs as gays)
