I just sold my webmasters forum, Have some spare funds to buy stuff now, But I want to start a site that can make money through Adsense.

    I was thinking off:

    Download site.
    Football site.
    Image hosting
    Youtube clone

    Any ideas?

    Football site.
The others may violate copyright (download, image hosting), which is prohibited by Adsense. Youtube clone is in direct competition to google, they may prohibit such things (as they do with ads on mail pages).

Download site - image hosting already has numerous big names, that market is overcrowded. And now that google owns the video business...

Download site would be a nice venture. But you might run into some copyright problems.

They are most likely thinking of warez - music, sofware , movies etc. - but it could be anything really, free templates ebooks maybe, scripts. something legal.

Be careful with the football site. All of those images are copyrighted and trademarked, which means you would have to get permission, and usually pay for, the use of any logos, slogans, etc....Anything is used in football is probably copyrighted.
You could run into a lot of problems.

No thanks. I'll go with a sort of Download/Reviews portal.
