$1400 is not a figure to consider here. There must be thousands of blogs with more earnings than 1400$. I think Digg.com is the biggest one.
Or you can just type things like: "highest google adsense earners" in google, but you will not find something very accurate, I mean the TOS of adsense says you can't talk about your earns and everything about your CTR
Plentyoffish.com was making over $10,000.00 a DAY with adsense before the owner realised he was losing money by not selling his own ads. Now he takes $180,000.00 checks as payment to show someones ad 100,000 times and makes too many millions a year to count. The owner is a bit eccentric and he got in with what the dating market needed, when it needed it. You might not be able to copy him if that's your goal though. Look up that sites story on wikipedia.org, it's a good read.
Of course Google is going to accept blogs. Thousands upon thousands of people start blogs on Wordpress everyday, why in the world would they not accept blogs? Perhaps you mean Blogger blogs, but even then I would surprised why they wouldn't accept them because there asre some fine blogger blogs out there.
Are you sure about that? When did Markus Frind supposably change? He has always said that he wants to keep everything on the site (ads/coding etc) all the same and when I last checked a week or so back, the site was littered in Google Adsense units, not private ads.
i heard Plentyoffish.com before but i don't know if he's still the top adsense earner. shoemoney.com johnchow.com don't serve adsense anymore.. i guess they turn their blog into affiliate machine or something. I don't consider Digg as blog anymore, maybe an article media of blogs.
