Can anyone recommend a work around for this? The script worked fine when I first installed it, but after a few days it would just time out.
Yesterday I was having trouble again -- BTW I never get an error message -- and I followed the above procedure and once again everything work perfectly as soon as I reloaded my preferences.
"Reloading" the preferences is not going to have any effect. The preference data is not cached anywhere, so if someone does that, and then it works, it's purely coincidental.
Hey Shawn, hopefully it doesn't seem like I'm complaining.....just want you to know I truly appreciate the free tools! I will have to hunt down some other servers to try this out on. Now if I could only keep my brain from timing out.
I've deleted my msn and yahoo links but now it still doesn't work even on G links . Some links are showing apr 19 and some apr 20 . It did get 2 links from today but that's it. Well and truly broken.
I setup an account on a free php host. It worked perfectly. Tried to run the check again and it failed.
Best I can tell right now is it looks like the Google API is flakey at best. Will do some more testing when I have time.
http://www.socengine.com/seo/blogdetail.php?ID=128 Think this is in anyway related? Ive been reading about this problem else where as well, but I cant remember where... (btw the tracker has been working fine for me the last couple times ive tried it)
My problem exactly. Eventually it does work. I've also found after doing a Check All, that only 3 or 4 keywords have updated. Then I click on the words one by one, and after about 5 words, everything is updated. Hopefully that helps the bug tracking. I also appreciate the free tools as well Shawn, thanks! Brandon
If anyone is still looking for an immediate fix, setup a new account called 'yourcurrentnamemy' and run your MSN and Yahoo! queries through there. It takes away a LOT of frustration... I have not had a problem since I switched. Just trying to help...
