Hello all - quite new to seo here and making all the right mistakes? I have a 6 month old site (site1) which came from no ranking for its primary keyword to about 230 over night about 2 weeks ago. Over 2 weeks it slowly climbed to about 193. I assumed that i had finally waited out the "sandbox". Four days ago, I launched a new site (site2) on the same IP. The sites have about 10 - 15% similar content, and i added one link from site1 to site2. Within a couple days, site1 suddenly fell from rank 193 to 330's. I got scared and removed the link from site1 to site2. Then the next day, (today) site one fell to 350's. I understand, from reading other recent posts, other sites are seeing effects of google dance. My question is, which or what combination of my factors- fresh out of sandbox, new site on same IP, the G dance, has caused my rank to plummet? Am I just so new to this that I am a little skittish? Thanks
