The situation is more tragic then hilarious . Blame Alevor for pulling joke after joke (and me for adding gas to the fire) .

The Indian politicians are pulling out line after line , latest one I've heard on CNN is that we non-Indians have a higher standard of hygiene . Like it wasn't bad enough that there is a Internet stereotype that Indians stink he adds fuel to the fire .
If such a thing would happen in Japan , US or some parts of the EU the minister would commit come out apologize and then resign .

Probably nothing . Almost no one gives a dam about The Commonwealth Games. What brought the attention was the collapses , the incredible amount of filth and the fact that some rooms were full of shit . And the attention is being maintained by the governments stupid declarations . After that it will just fade back in the unknown .

They aren't our leaders, to begin with, Bohra. It's a false state of mind which they are taking advantage of. It has the danger of them exploiting the whole society (which they are, anyway). In a democracy, they are just the men/women who are chosen (elected) by people (the leaders) to represent them. They aren't the actual law makers but just represent them. I can understand the use of that word "leader" in the common parlance and in a flow of thought but the moment the assumptions lead to believing them as leaders, we have it. What we are seeing today is courtesy of this forgotten theory.

I don't know. But in a democracy, it's the voter.

Well looks like a crippled (some 14 top athletes are not coming) UK team is going to be sent to the Games . The games may take place after all.

100 % Agreed with Point.... In the current situation of Corruption No one can imagine to go India and play games!

Anyways the posts under the title of Powerful Nation... none of any post justify chances of India as 3rd Powerful Nation

Just when things looked like they might get better .... they don't .

Latest news shows that Indians contractors are using child labor . Kids working in subhuman condition to get the Commonwealth project done . Instead of going to school or playing children are forced to work in heat , grime , whit no toilets and they get paid now and then .

And to top it off the responsible minister is lying in the face of international media . The games might go one but it will take some years to wipe off the shame .
