I think as .com and .net become more saturated, these new TLDs like .info will become more desirable.
It appears Tchat.info is some sort of sex chat site. Maybe T stands for some french word. How the domain owner convinced the owner to pay 18,000 USD is beyond me. 18,000 is almost a year's pay in many rich nations. Tchat.info isn't in the top 100,000 on Alexa and it's 10,479,061 ranking.
wow, are this sales real ? even simple short words are not so valuable, especially .info. I apreciate in mid $xxxx maximum but 1x.xxx it is too much (if this is true)
Here's another one: JobsOnline.info for 12,000 USD How about StockMarket-calls.info for 700 USD ? It even has a dash which is normally a no no. Dmp3.info for 1,050 USD.
Some people just have too much money to spend on crap domains or some of those sales might not have really gone through
Actually, .info's can rank as well as the others. I have also seen a .biz rank (in one case) for a highly competitive term (number 1 spot, a fair amount of backlinks, one year old site).
If that a valid data, great for .info, because we can buy that domain with very cheap price for the first year. Can you tell me, from where, you picked that data.
In the current French language Chat is usually called: "Tchatch" that might explain the first T. I still think that tchat.info is not worth 18k but i guess the seller got lucky.
I suppose that each domain name worth as much as someone really ready to pay for it. And I do not understand people which spend a lot of money for the domain names like those ones.
