I have a website that was growing in ranking and traffic, suddenly today I have big drop in SERPS for most of my pages,
I have been building backlinks and recently added many quality links.

What are the main reasons for such drop???!

btw: it's not sandbox coz my site is two years old

I agree with homecomputergames, sometime your pages get dropped out and then in a few days they re-appear.

Just keep at it and keep an eye on things.

Thirded :) Just make sure you haven't been doing anything spammy besides. Some of our clients take a couple of weeks instead of days, but in all, you'll get back up there.

It happens. They could have discounted some of your links if you just built a lot of quality links in a short time.

Also, are your alternating your anchor text? If you have been using the same keyword as your link anchor, it is very likely google discounted your older links.

well, i just notice that u mentioned "I have been building backlinks and recently added many quality links."
your site is a two year old site, and u should have " added many quality links " long ago--may be that hte problem IMHO

I think you must wait for around 7 to 15 days. It happens many times with old sites also. Just build some high quality backlinks and wait.

If you haven't done anything "stupid" give it a week or two before you freak out. Google is dancing a lot lately and who knows when it will be over.

This might be not in your case but google dropped is dropping results of many blogs due to sponsored posts too.

@ digiblogger17: What all these guys have said might be somewhat related to the drop in your SERPs. I suggest, just wait and watch for a week and monitor the rankings daily. Maybe you might again get your rankings, once Google stops dancing :)

If you have integrated the Google Webmaster Tool with your site, you might find the reason(s) for the drop in your rankings.
