Big Drop In My Google SERP's

    Hi,

I am based in the UK and have seen a massive drop during the day in my SERP's on google.

On google.co.uk I have dropped from SERP 3 to 15

On google.com I have droped from SERP 35 to nowhere.

I am not even in the top 200 on google.com and yet this morning I was on page 4 of google.com.

I had been climbing steadily on google.com from SERP 169 to SERP 35 over the last month and now I can not find myself listed.

Can anyone advise what is going on or what I might have done?

    Jimbob

P.S - It doesn't seem to have affected my competitors and they still seem to be holdig the same positions as before.

Major indexing is underway, don't sweat it.... for now. This happens about 4 times a year. Everyone needs to try some decaf and calm down. If you must, hop into the Google forum and participate in the insanity.

I have gotten about 100 flippen phone calls today. I am doing some stuff for a caterer in Miami. I checked the local serps this morning and took note the Ritz Carleton was no longer in the local serps and they are totally saturated with a fast food joint(all but one local listing). Funniest thing I have seen in quite some time. Google won't necessarily get it right out of the gate.

Google Dance, I think that it will be settling down in a few days. In the same time don't stop on with your link building efforts.

I don't understand this, too. How could some others can escape from the dance while we can't? What makes others move forward to the 1st page and we move backward in google? Does google dance affect blogs or posts in random manner or there are some criteria?

    Anyone could explain this?

Must the same reasons my best performing website jumped from #10+ pages into the 1st page of google for about ten keywords (and tens of their variations).

Did you do any link building recently? Google is reevaluating links all the time, this may be the reason for a drop if Google felt like your old established links are not so valuable as it thought before. I have gathered 8K links (webmaster tools) in a couple months for my site on the new domain and it jumped into 1st google page almost overnight.

well every body is guessing but let me tell you the truth that google is updating its results every hour not weekly or month or yearly. Its foolishness to say google changes its algorithm on so and so. I have done researched i found that google has updated its pr four times in a month. i found my all websites and blog changing position every day from 1st to 10th position.
