Big discrepancy between clicks reported by Adwords vs Analytics & clicktracks stats

I know some visitors never actually make it to the website even though it counts as a click for various reasons, but these numbers seem way off.

For yesterday Adwords reported 374 clicks
Analytics says 313 visitors came from adwords
Clicktracks says we had 331 visitors from adwords yesterday.

Clicktracks was closer, but it's still way off considering the number of clicks weren't that high.

Check out the numbers for this month total so far:

    Adwords reports 5293 clicks
Adwords reports 2895 visitors from adwords (only 55% of the clicks!)
Clicktracks reports 3955 (still only 75% of the clicks I check with both cookies & parameter tracking)

What's going on, and how do I figure out who's numbers are the real ones?

Clicktracks vs. Analytics is completely of in total visitors and unique visitors too (Analytics has it 9300 visitors, 8300 unique and Clicktracks 15 500 visitors and 12 000 unique).

Now I know clicktracks tends to report fairly high numbers compared to other software (there's an interesting comparison here: http://www.stonetemple.com/articles/analytics-report-may-2007.shtml)
but these numbers seem too off (plus that analytics and cicktracks weren't that different in the test).

Does anyone have any suggestions for what's going on?

really good question. we had a similar issue that we are still trying to unravel.
Hope someone posts a really good insight.

our 2 tracking software/service both reported far different results (much!!! lower) than AdWords stats.

thanks for asking. Let's see what insight we can get.
