new agreement at https://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/gp/associates/promo/newoperating some of the changes... must state what type of site you have and some now have restrictions. such as “Paid Search Placements.†another big change aStore You may not use the aStore by Amazon Link as a stand-alone website ? looks like no paid search to aStore ? £7 cap now on all products 2.5% direct link bonus and +1% easy link bonus both GONE. not spotted what else has changed yet but am sure there will be some
I recieved this email, too. Now I sell the products that not the 7£ cap. That is the bad news for me.
I think they want to stop people who register dozens of keyword IDs for SEO purposes and push one product aStores in the SERPs instead of focussing on building their own sites, a very useful change im my opinion.
For most people I don`t think stand-alone aStores work anyhow. The £7 cap will hit a lot of Associates I would think.
The lack of +2.5% direct link bonus, and having to have different accounts for different types of sites will hit most users. Different accounts for a blog, a content site, PPC, for example, means not hitting enough sales (split between 2 or more accounts) so lower % level.
That £7 cap was a new one for me. Any thoughts on why Amazon have decided to make this change? With other affiliate systems out there, many people will move from Amazon and drive business elsewhere.
I am surprised more have not commented about the no stand alone aStore thing (must be embedded into a site) with amazon UK since a lot of people are using them.
