big changes in ranking...

    I'm seeing some weird changes in ranking for some of my core keywords. One of my keywords dropped from 6 to 10, another one went from 29 to 54, and my most important keyword went from 10 to 15. is anyone else seeing similar results?

    Additionally anyone know if Google rolled out changes to their algorithm?

    Google did release new algorithm tweaks called Penguin and it could have hurt your rankings.

    Make sure your backlinks are clean.

    wasn't penguin released months ago? I think we survived it but these rankings have been fluctuating for the last 10 days.

    Can't remember the proper expression at this point but Penguin basically updates every few weeks. In other words, it hits again to check what you've been up to since the last check. Could be that you've been hit by the latest Penguin 'wave', maybe even neg seo'd, i've seen a lot of that recently. Alternatively it could be a localized tweek or just general testing that Google seems to get up to.

    I think some of your links or site that you are linking to had also dropped their rankings a domino effect should i say.

    It's not a big dip so you can't say its because Google Penguin Refresh. I would call it just an effect of Google Dance.

    As stated above, it is the Google Dance. Today Google updated their algorithm. My site's ranking for example when from 256 to 40. Once every 3-4 weeks Google tends to do this. Until your site is established will it stop.

    From 2011 Google Algorithms changing very sharply, some month ago updated Google Penguin hurt lot of websites due to unnatural, low quality links, duplicate content and spam stuff. Now this happened due to Google Algorithms, so keep up-to-date yourself every time. DO work according to Algorithms.

    Hello Samir, Google is Update Now, check penguin Updates, i think this is reason so your keywords are down in Search engine.

    Google Dance is the reason for me.... keep building your back links and avoid black hat if you are using any... you will be stable soon
