Well if you were a rich republican you could afford to purchase the magazine. I'd really suggest asking one of your smart friends if you can borrow a copy. The article was taken completely out of context and does not mean what you think it does.

So you're saying you read the police report?

Maybe they were filming an episode of "Cops"

Who cares what he says. He is not an authority on anything, nor is he in a posisition of authority. It's a moot point ;)

Because we all know cops never tell lies (im not saying she did or didn't, only that a police report is not reliable information)

I can fully back that up 100% with my own court cases (for traffic violations) where the police have lied under oath 4/5 times.

Yeah, I used to think that too, turned out I just like to drive too fast and got caught.

The fact remains, granny was packing heat. I wasn't there, so I am not going to second guess the cops judgment. I saw a gun, that would be all I need to bitch slap the crusty old vacuum bag. Anyway, it's not like there were 10 cops beating her with a billy club. That type of fan fair seems to be reserved for those on the left coast.

I'm fairly certain the police report is quite accurate, especially since AARP card granny was caught on tape. No better witness thant the camera!

The gun was pointing around in many directions, but since the video was never released and clearly spliced/cut, it's hard to know all the details.

What right? Mandatory evacuation order. Pure and simple. Lesson learned? Don't point guns at law enforcement doing their job, or you will be dealt with. There's not much info on Patricia Konie out there, but I did note she supposedly filed a lawsuit. Maybe the uncut version of the video will surface for that.

    From the transcript:

    The complete sentence, without interruption:

GEN. HAYDEN: No. The amendment says unreasonable search and seizure.

She filed a federal lawsuit. Here's what her attorney (Ashton O'Dwyer) had to say about the incident.

"My client was severely injured in a needless removal from her home. Patricia Konie had food, plenty of water, and a roof over her head. The police who illegally entered her home and imposed their will on a frail, middle-aged female should have been out apprehending armed, male looters instead."

He left out the part where evacuation was an order not a request. How convenient. She was ordered to come with police and she refused. They confiscated the firearm she used in her defense.

I would like to sympathize with the old lady, but the fact is, she disobeyed a government issued order to evacuate then disobeyed a direct order from police, who had the authority through a mandate to take her into custody. It's amazing how many people who violate the law end up playing the victim.

The fact of the matter is, had she evacuated and obeyed the law, this would never have happened. Perhaps the police went too far, but it all started with her illegal activity.

I guess when the next major terrorist attack happens, the constitution is suspended, and Americans are told to turn in their guns and go to the relocation camps, you'll gladly comply..............

Just because the government says do something doesn't mean you do it. If the Americans in 1776 had that attitude, they would have bent over backwards for the British.

My how times have changed. So many Americans are weak pathetic flakes who don't have the gall to stand up to a corrupt government.

Hey marketjunction, can you explain to me why Dick Cheney didn't follow the law when he broke it by hunting without a license and shot his friend, then refused to see police for 14 hours?

The US is turning into a damn Fascist country. A lot of people here at DP would gladly sell their souls if they thought it could save them. I find it hilarious how the same people who defend the emperor Dick Cheney agree that an old woman should be manhandled when she breaks the law.

At least the old lady didn't shoot anyone. So much for justice. I tell you, there are some folks here at DP that would be right at home on a farm working as a serf for a lord during the middle ages. Don't worry, be patient. We're heading back there slowly, but surely. You people are going to get your wish soon enough.

Say what you want about Cheney, I personally don't care. I was not there with him and there are far bigger issues in the world. If you say he is wrong or above the law, that's fine by me. I am more concerned with major issues facing our country and the world.

BTW, what have you done recently to stand up to the government?

Well, try to cooperate with the government and you will soon be sitting behind the controls when your country turns fascist. Remember, if you keep posting negative posts about the government, they will soon take you, mayby not this year but I bet they will pick one conspiracy cook after another within 10 years, according to the patriot act.

They already started in Europe, a british holocoast denyer was sent to prison :(

He was sentenced to 3 years. Do you know why he was sent to prison?

I will give you a hint. The reason is nothing new.

I stand up to my government everyday by posting news in my blog exposing their corruption and lies, letting other people know what is going on. I also spend a lot of time trying to convince people here at DP to take the "red pill" wake up out of the matrix and help me fight these people. I can't do it by myself.

There isn't much I can do against the government by myself, thats why I need other people to stand by my side. I've done many things, but it is going to take millions of people to fight against this corruption.

I'm not getting angry, I'm scared. If people don't wake up and realize that our government is corrupt, and our country is dying, there isn't going to be a future for any of us.

I'm more afraid of not speaking out. They may be able to imprison a few of us or even kill some of us, but they can't kill all of us. The more people who know what is happening, and are willing to stand up against corruption will allow us to reclaim our country and our freedom.

Specifically? What corruption are you talking about? Are you from a European nation? I'll help you denounce the corruption there all day long :D:D:D

What country are you from. Sounds pretty scary to me..

Yikes, where on earth do you live?

Well, no offense, but if you live in the United States, that's not standing up to the government. We have free speech. Speaking your mind to others is great, but it's really not a big deal--especially if its on a microscopic level.

Instead of trying to be a conspiracy theorist, you should learn more on how the government works (and about world politics). You could form or join a political interest group and work to shape the government into what you think it should be. The whole 12 year old movie follower rebel without a cause thing never gets anywhere.

If you don't like the fact that our political system favors two parties, there are other countries you can move to that have different systems. Germany comes to mind. They have a very interesting governmental setup.

If you understand the region, you know that it is not sad at all. You can't look at this through North American eyes. It is perfectly logical that Austria would have such a law.
