I could really use some help on marketing an event coming up in the summer for a client. They are looking to running a big marketing campaign over a very short period of time between March and July for an exhibition. I am not used to this type of Big Bang, Hit and Run marketing so am looking for inspiration! The website isnt completed yet and is quite niche so I am looking for ideas to really promote the website. My current way of thinking is buying banner space and pop up ads. Can someone recommend a good company to talk to about running a pop up ad campaign? Any other ideas would be greatly received! Thanks
Only clues are that the film has a massive worldwide cult following and the event is an exhibition of items from the film and merchandise. The exhibition is also UK based. Sorry cant say much more at this time.
Popup ads arn't a good idea in my opinion. Buy Ad-brite or AdWords ads instead. They will give you more value for the money. Think about it like this, when did you last time visit a site whoms banner popped up in your face when visiting a site? As for me, I havn't done it yet. Kalle
Agreed. However, this campaign NEEDS to be in the face! It is a very short lived campaign ending when the exhibition ends. Adwords and alike are fine, and on the list, but BIG visual from related sites will work better in my opinion. Yes I know that you can achieve similar with Adwords but I dont think it is in your face enough
Well, if you have money enough you can buy blogposts. If you do all blogvertising, pop up advertising, and adwords, adbrite at the same time it will be smashing and talked about. People will probably blog about it if they like it, and you have succeeded.
