Big Backlink drop?

    I had 43 backlinks now its only showing 6.. Some places only shows 0!
    Is this normal? btw. My site is in Denmark.. :eek: :confused:

    If PR is going down, you would probably expect backlinks to go down as well.

    I had 8 and now I've got 55 !
    I used to have 800visitors/day from google, now I have only 5/day from google!

    Is this normal?

    Go to Google Sitemaps and add your site.

    There you will see the "more realistic" number of links.

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps



    PS: The link: command in google only gives you a very small sample of the backlinks

    At the moment, I see the same on several of my sites.

    Just a personal observation, but it seems the export takes place and then I think they somehow apply some adjustment or normalisation after the export has run. Monitoring my BL/PR over the last few exports this seems to have happened.

    one of my sites gets 20K+ backlinks in google webmaster center,but only shows 200+backlinks in google search.

    well my backlinks has gone up, but not the pr. but then don't think too much, keep getting backlinks and you will see the results!:D

    May I know how do you check your backlinks?
    There are several ways to do so:

    1. Use link: operator in Yahoo search. (Highly recommended)

    2. Refer to the links section in Google Sitemap account. (Recommended)

    3. Use link: operator in Google search. (Not recommended)
