BIG and Proven Easter Launch (20th-27th April)

    Hi Everyone,

    We have been planning another "launch" for quite a while. This will be the 3rd time we have done this on a large scale. Our website is consistent, and this launch formula really works. The previous 2 events were last July, and then last November 2010 and converted at 4-7% both times.

    Overview

    What we do is have a 1 week only 50% sale on all of our albums. This is supported by a huge countdown banner on the top of all of our pages which counts the days remaining, and then the hours and minutes in the last 24 hours. We also update our newsletter subscribers during the week - really driving conversions on any signups you generate.

    Proof

    Here is our conversion rate from last time - taken directly from our google analytics. You can see the conversion rate rising from 1% up to 4.79% over the week as the urgency of the sale ending built up (and we expect this same pattern again):

    I made full threads on our previous launches at the time which are now basically case studies for what happened and what to expect this time:

    Again, this time we are expecting conversion to double / triple and finish somewhere between 4-8%.

    Here is an overview of our gravity. The first spike is where our gravity hit 90+ in our July 2010 launch, and the second collection of spikes is where our gravity hit 182 during the launch week (and then passed 200 when we release some new albums a week later).

    Again this time, by our estimations based on previous events, there will be a lot of people taking part, and we expect our gravity to rise again from its current level of approx 70, right up to somewhere between 200-300.

    I wish all vendors would do this. This should be included in affiliate sign up forms. I am fed up of creating special email addresses specifically to receive affiliate offers from vendors only to delete them afterwards or to unsubscribe from certain vendors because of tons of promos to buy this and that

    This cross promotion seems to be trend these days, you sign up as a JV partner to a launch and as soon as that launch is passed you are bombarded with promotions.

    Props to you sub and as usual you are man of your word.

    I remember one seller put out emails once a day. I had to unsubscribe 3 days later.

    Yesterday was Day 1 - Launch Day :)

    It brought in more sales than any other "Day1", increased our gravity from 65 to 111, and we saw a higher conversion rate than any other "Day 1" too.

    Our gravity increased from 65 to 111 in just one day - the real sales will still come in at the end of this event (in the last 2 days) so we expect to increase to 250-300 in total.

    Conversion Rate:

    This is a screenshot direct from our Google Analytics - it is the conversion of the announcement email we sent to our own list about the start of the sale.

    As I said above it's not too late to get involved, our site is converting better than ever, and the conversion rate will continue to rise as new visitors get warmed up, educated about subliminal audio over the week, and as the urgency of the sale ending really comes into play in the last 48 hours.

    Wow! This has turned out to be much bigger than we expected!

    Already, after 3 Days we are at 170+ Gravity - just 14 short of the total Gravity we hit last time and as 70%+ of all the sales come in the last 2 days we are now expecting that we will pass 300 Gravity by Wednesday evening.

    This is because of more affiliates getting involved but also a higher conversion rate generally because of more products, but also videos on the homepage, free albums sign-up page, and video testimonials too.

    This time is different..

    Last Time: Our previous 2 sales followed a pattern of most big affiliates promoting on Day 1 - sending a lot of new visitors to us who were new to subliminal audio and didn't convert that well initially - but then as they joined our newsletter, received the free albums and revisited the site over the week the conversions rose and rose throughout the week as the traffic dropped off... so... the people who were visiting on Days 2,3,4 etc were return visitors who were more interested (rather than just curious).

    This Time: Day 1 was in line with traffic and sales volume from last time, but then Day 2 didn't drop off, some new, big affiliates jumped on board last minute so the traffic stayed high (and hence the conversion rate didn't rise because there was still a LOT of new people coming to the site).

    Then Day 3 the traffic was even higher still - much higher in-fact and busier than we have ever been - so again, still relatively low conversion rates, but still high volumes of sales from the mass traffic which have really pushed the gravity up.

    We now expect that things will finally slow a little tomorrow and conversions will then start to rise, and then going into Monday, Tuesday, and the last day Wednesday we have more people than ever on our site and in our newsletter who will all be getting reminded about the sale ending - we are expecting huge sales numbers and amazing conversion rates.

    It's definitely not too late to get involved - I would advise sending this email out now if you can, or adapting it into an article if you have a blog with through traffic:

    The sale is over. It was our biggest ever: 30% bigger (in sales revenue) than the last one in November.

    Gravity:

    At the start of the week our Gravity was 65, today it is 297.52. We even got our first "highest gravity of the day" according to CB-Analytics.com.

    Conversion:

    In our last sale most people only promoted at the start of the week - thus we had time to warm people up, and to let them try the free albums so when they came back at the end of the week when the sale was ending they converted much higher - last time conversions steadily rose throughout the week - this time they stayed lower because there was a lot of new traffic coming to us every day so we never had this effect.

    However, in the last 2 days there was still a fantastic conversion rate - peaking at 4.47%

    The Future:

    We will be making some changes to the site over the next few weeks with the aim of improving conversion rates further. Mainly we will be changing the layout of our sales pages to include customer testimonials (including video testimonials) on the sales pages.

    We will also continue to add new albums every month - usually this is 5-10, but it just depends on each batch / area - again, if you have niche focused lists which we don't have an album for please send me a suggestion as we do create albums if there is a market.

    I've been following your progress for I while and like the fact that you do these periodic launches to keep your product line fresh.

    As an affiliate, I have one question -- hope you don't mind:
    I notice that you have a coupon code box on your order cart page (after someone clicks the 'add to cart' button). Would this cause a distraction to buyers, like if they go around hunting for a code and abandon the cart midway?

    Just curious about how this works (or affects affiliate promotions) as I'm not sure of the reasons to have that box there.

    Thanks, glad you're interested.

    To be honest, yes, I think this can happen, but only to a much smaller % of people than you would imagine. The research into coupon code boxes shows that the increase conversions overall because people use them - and they get the coupons from our newsletter - every week we give out coupons on different products, and people really do use them - they really drive sales, and if you put them in the newsletter within the last 60 days (i.e. within your 60 day cookie life as standard on Clickbank) and they come back to the site and use a coupon then you get credit.

    You can also swipe almost all of the discounts we use - they are in the "Product Offers" section on this page so you can give out coupons to your email subscribers / blog visitors too:
