there are some nice programs shown here in the forum, so i cloned a few sites and made PPC ads....but no matter what i promote, be it gov auctions or weight loss or spam filters... bids on Adwords are INSANE for US.

Wtf people....there are people bidding $7-$10 for most of those terms...

The only winner here is Google - noone in his right mind bids $7 for a clickbank product giving $20 or so commision ONCE it may convert...

    RANT OFF....

(Yeah, yeah..i can see people replying now: "Well it's a game...blah blah"...right. Still doesn't change the fact that i think bids are insane for some interesting looking products.....PPC and Clickbank is really a biatch....)

I don't think the bids are that high. I was promoting a lot of products from Fat Loss Idiots to Truth About Abs and 12 month internet millionaire. If you have a high CTR and your ad is relevant to the keywords, Google rewards you by allowing you to have lower bids and higher ranking. In most my campaign ads, I was always ranked between 1-6 and in some cases I was the number 1 ad and I never paid over 90 cents for a bid. Most my bids were between 30-60 cents.

my import car site only costs 10c a click.. But you need to make a landing site.. not straight to the sales page.

Have you been going straight to vendors page or to your own site first?

prices are based on quality score of your landing page. If direct linking is too expensive make a good quality landing page, it will lower your bids.

Have you tried CPM impressions with google? Which means google will display your Ads in content results/sites only, and you'll be charge per each 1k impression.

Let's say you bid for $.25 per 1k of impressions (max), No matter how many clicks you get, you'll still be charged only $.25 for each 1k impressions.

You still have to pick your keywords, etc. Just be careful as it does not work for any product. But I'm promoting a clickbank ebook that I own and sometimes I'll get 100k impressions totalling $25.00, and I'll have 50-90 clicks. My conversion is also definitely worth it.

What do you think about that?

CPM/Content network doesnt really work for me....i mean..depending on what you offer...maybe. But there is just too much click-fraud on my opinion. I have it off in all my campaigns.
