Will, I do not recall any legislation passed for the continued presence in Iraq now that Saddam has been overthrown and the threat of WMDs in Iraq, defused.

Please let me know if I have overlooked something.

There are two parts to impeachment..

    1. Impeachment
    2. Conviction

Clinton was impeached but not convicted.. That is why he was able to complete his term..

Ah, that is because the UN's method of dealing with problems is to draw a line in the sand and wait for someone to cross it.. When they cross it, they draw another line. You get the picture...

What good is having a resolution or that line in the sand if you are not going to back it up?

We backed it up is all..

    ? :confused::confused::confused:

We'll be in Iraq until the end of Bush's reign of terror ends January 2008. By then the damage has already been done and every single American has already lined up the deep pockets of BUSH Cheney and their cronies with blood money!

It's possible Mia doesn't like Albanians, considering his opinion on Muslims:

Of presidential candidates I most agree with Biden on Iraq.

With regard to Iran and his statement, following some of Bush's comments: Bush was forewarned and made aware of the NIE statement as of last August. Bush claims that he wasn't given details.

The crux of the report was that the info was dramatically different than earlier reports on Iran nuke weapon building.

How could bush not know what it was going to say and how it was going to differ with past reports.

Then in october/november Bush made his comments about a potential WWWIIII and Iranian nukes. He was upping the rhetoric and fanning flames of fear, even as he probably had to know that the NIE report was going to say the opposite.

Biden is responding to all of that and further responding to a sense that many American's now have that Bush and his administration have been the portrayers of danger and fear.

I have no problems with Biden's statements.

Nothing against Albanians.. I just have an issue when someone that is not a citizen of the US, but lives in the US, speaks out vocally against the US, bashes the US, all the while urging people to vote for someone that they themselves cannot even vote for..

I find it a little perplexing to say the least.. Is that the case?

What opinion would that be? I think I have been pretty clear that I do not agree with cult worshiping Islamic Extremists.. Are you saying all Muslims and Albanians fit into that classification? I was not aware they were.

PM Crazy Rob, or Shawn, or any mod here or report this post if you think that is the case... I've been here since 1998.. (on DP) and have no reason to have more than one account.

If this were Chavez, it would be 2050.. Luckily we don't allow dictatorships in the US... Too much of any one president would likely be more than anyone could handle.

It would also explain why guru has such a discontent with Jews and Americans, but never has a bad word for terrorists.

Is there a source for this? I would really like to see a source, where someone claims such. I've seen assumptions, but not proof. Thanks.

We are left with only two options here. Either the President of the United States is lying to the American people about what happened during that meeting, or the President of the United States is stupid.

    Watch the video.

HOW IS SHIT NOT HITTING THE FAN. This is ridiculous. The man knew Iran wasn't trying to make nukes, yet he continued to threaten the American people with war. HOW FAR DOES THIS HAVE TO GO.

BUSH: I was made aware of the NIE last week. In August, I think it was John — Mike McConnell came in and said, We have some new information. He didn’t tell me what the information was. He did tell me it was going to take a while to analyze.

Later, when a reporter followed-up on this statement, Bush asserted no one ever told him to stop ratcheting up the rhetoric against Iran:

REPORTER: Are you saying at no point while the rhetoric was escalating, as World War III was making it into conversation — at no point, nobody from your intelligence team or your administration was saying, Maybe you want to back it down a little bit?

BUSH: No — I’ve never — nobody ever told me that.

Simply put. He had a meeting in August. He was present at that meeting. That is confirmed by him. Nobody knows for sure what took place at that meeting except one thing is for sure. President Bush was informed that there was new intelligence in Iran. He either choose to 1.) ignore that intelligence and lie to the American people, or 2.) he didn't ask or wasn't told what that information was, and continued to push war. If 1 he's a liar. If 2, he's too incompetent to be president of the United States.

So there is no confirmation that it was a lie? Just an assumption?

That's pretty much what I thought, but wanted to be sure first.

Whoaaa there buddy! Where the hell do you get this nonsense info from????

Just for the record. Are you stating in a public forum that I am not a citizen of the United States??? What the hell are you smoking? Again like I said in the PM if you have anything personal lets take it outside the public context.

Also the Washington post is reporting that the administration heads had learned as early as July of the news:

Gtech, on the off chance he did not lie. Do you trust your security in the hands of a president who didn't care what the new intelligence was? Gtech, he confirmed he was told about the intelligence, so why wouldn't he ask what the information was???? If he didn't doesn't that make him irresponsible and incompetent? Do you honestly believe in your heart that he wasn't told what it was lol. It's quite absurd that he would say he was told intelligence exists, but he wasn't aware as to what it was. How many soldiers have to die before you admit you are wrong? 5k? 10k? More?

You have to love Scarborough. Could not hack it in congress, so he goes to MSNBC.. I saw this live when it aired.. I nearly choked on my coffee...

    Do keep in mind that:

    1. MSNBC is the American equivalent of the BBC in terms of News.. It's commentary and opinion.. Not news
    2. That "Morning Joe" time slot that Scarborough has, was previously occupied by that nappy gray headed hoe, IMUS... ;)

Wow, good news... Iran is a little further way from getting nukes than we thought.. That makes them really good guys now.. I mean, if they had them one year from now, I would be like, bad, bad Iran... But since it is gonna take them 3 years... There good, good Iran..

None of this changes the fact that Allah-I'm-a-Jihad is a lunatic, and Iran is still seeking nuclear power... So what of the time line?
