"Sen. Joe Biden, the loquacious long-shot Democratic presidential candidate, warned President Bush Thursday that he would move for impeachment if the president unilaterally authorized a military strike against Iran. 'The President has no authority to unilaterally attack Iran and … if he does, as foreign relations committee chairman and former chairman of judiciary, I will move to impeach him,' Biden told a crowd of about 100 potential voters at a campaign stop in New Hampshire."

I don't think Bush will go to that extreme, at least not without the UN being involved. France and Germany have both expressed concerns about Iran too. btw, Biden is a loon.

Joe Biden is a joke and a half. If he actually cared he would impeach now. If we attack Iran it will be way too late. Another politically motivated empty promise by a scum bag politician.

Looks like Biden wants some air time.. He'd be better off to release a sex tape on the internet if he wants so much press...

The US has not need, want, or intention of bombing a nation that is on the verge of it's own collapse..

I'm glad that Biden is saying at least saying something about it... But really that's way too little way too late. He should be talking about impeachment for what he has already done, not for taking it any further - that shouldn't even be an option. They've been lying about Iran since at least August and it's likely longer than that. Considering this is the second time this admin. has been caught lying to get try and get this country into a war... well. I just wonder how much of this we are supposed to be OK with? How much more does this administration have to do? I really feel that the Democrats in the congress are a complete failure for not doing anything about any of this. They are almost as disgusting as the admin. is to me at this point.

The worst war we can send our soldiers to, is one for the UN. Our army is not a global army, controlled by all of the countries in the world. The US military serves the American people, not France, Germany or Saudi Arabia. The soldiers take an oath to uphold the Constitution, not to defend the United Nations. Big difference.

So why do you support the illegal occupation? Iraq posed absolutely no threat to the U.S, as proven countless times.

I agreed with Guerilla that the UN does not dictate how the US will defend itself, nor does it control the US..

I never said I supported an "illegal occupation"... What are you talking about? No one is illegally occupying Iraq.. Um, like, hell... it's 2007...

If I read between the lines I think I know where you are going with this.... The US and Coalition invasion of Iraq took place after 14 + years and over a dozen UN resolutions.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441

Please stop playing dumb, if you are in fact playing.

I suggest you read the resolution, and then stop posting goofy basackwards posts that do nothing buy make you look dumb.

The US enforced this resolution. Iraq is not illegally occupied.. They are their own country. A new country, a free country, and one with less and less violence every day...

What is the matter with you...

Mia if you bring up the UN resolutions as the basis to go to war as so many do, you have to with the same logic use the UN after the fact. The UN did not vote for war, it was we who decided to bypass the UN kind of making the pounding of the UN resolution mute and without any merit at all.

Not to mention at the end Saddam was bending over backwards without any lube ;)

Impeachment doesnt mean a thing. Clinton was impeached, he still finished his term.
