Bidding on trademarked terms in ringtone market

I want to run a campaign on Adwords in the ringtones market where I bid on trademarked terms (e.g. Nextel). Do some merchants not allow this? Or is there a conflict of interest and not allowed.

Can someone clarify this for me please, especially if you have knowledge of the ringtone market?

    Thanks,

    Jon

You won't have a problem with Nextel. Some companies do not allow their trademarked term to be used in an ad and they have notified google - you will get a message about this when you try to create the ad. You can then request an exception if your ad is not related to the trademark usage, or if you have permission - such as being an authorized dealer who is allowed usage.

I'm not totally sure of specific markets Jon, but I do know of a friend who was not allowed to bid on terms related to his business (sky television). Perhaps someone else will have a clearer idea on your market.
