I've been experimenting with ringtones (like everyone else and his mother). My Quality score starts of OK with minimum bids of 5p (10cents) per click but after about a day they shoot up to 50p ($1.00) per click for artist/bands and about 15p(30 cents) for my genre related keywords (e.g. pop, hiphop etc). Is this normal in the ringtone niche for searcg marketing? Is it worth paying $1.00 per click or should you take it as a sign to scrap the campaign and work on your landing page more? Looking at the ads that come up for some artists, e.g. 'beyonce ringtones' they are no better and in most cases worse than my landing pages so is everyone paying these sort of prices for bidding on artist keywords?
