    You should consider editing the post Sem, Washington Post appears to merely be bidding on [virginia tech], not the phrase [shooting]... although the UK site doesn't come up if you omit the last word.

    News is news, and promoting blog posts to obtain traffic is no different then Google allowing advertisers to use certain keywords. If you really weren't interested in traffic and simply wanted to get a point across to DP members, there was no need for a link.

    Hypocrisy, pure and simple.

    I should also point out that published expressions such as 'Google Condones Violence' are not only untrue and unfair based on the facts you present, they're slanderous. Just because Google didn't jump to block certain keywords after the event made news doesn't mean that they condone or appreciate the shootings.
