It seems Google has no problem allowing evil to be done. They have allowed large corporations to bid on keyword terms related to the senseless murders at Virginia Tech. Is there no limit to the greed of the search engines, newspapers, and television producers, all of whom have no concept of needing money, in their strive to earn revenues and ratings?? Feel free to read my full rant, and pass it on to your friends family and enemies!! http://www.mediaviper.com/ Peace
In a way are you not doing the same thing your ranting about by promoting your own site bashing google & publishers advertising there own articles?
one of the worst sites has to be www.VtechDies.com how can google allow this? THEY USE ADWORDS!! and who would make such a site???
while I don't like what is happening either but people are free to say and advertise whatever they want...show me where in the TOS it says its against the rules to advertise your news article directly related to what the user is searching for.. I don't see the big deal with people advertising their stories...it's not like they are selling products related to it.
Nevermind TOS, what ever happened to morals. Why is google running ads on sites like http://www.vtechdies.com/
Yes in a way I am. However I am in no way a large corporation, and if you notice I did not ad any adsense code to my blog post, as opposed to my normal practice....I guess in some way my acknowledging my self promotion to call light to the practice.
most of the sittes are news papers people wanna read the news people will search google no differnt from any other keywords
I have a virgina tech blog on my blog directory. My stats SHOT through the roof yesterday and I was like why is everyone searching virgina tech until I saw the paper this morning. Terrible.
I just wonder why I don't think of doing something like that?? what is it that tells that person to hop on those and sell them, and the rest of us to not think about it?? or think about how it makes you mad someone else is trying to make money off it??
Except for the fact that a great majority of the people online would likely know the URL to their local or favorite newspapers, and so would not need to turn to the search engine to find the story.
sem, its a HUGE event, me recluse i just got the news today on a forum..and then went on to cnn to get everything. Its a HUGE thing..its bigger than columbine...so...yes it will make waves. What do you expect ?
