WASHINGTON, March 18 (Reuters) - Bidding came to an end on Tuesday in an auction of valuable wireless airwaves by the U.S. government, according to data posted on the Internet by communications regulators. After more than five weeks of bidding that racked up a record $19.59 billion, the auction closed when no new offers were posted for any of the blocks of 700-megahertz spectrum up for sale in the Federal Communications Commission auction. Identities of the winning bidders are expected to be announced within several days.
