    I would remove the adsense ads and get a custom theme.

    Remove Adsense ads (Mainly from Header)
    use some plug ins for metatags.
    Create Some Good Link from where you get Targeted traffic.
    And use custom theme for Good Look

    agree on the meta tags plugin...definitely helps even at a high level.
