Bidding Directory Having Sitewides on them..?

Lately I have seen tons of Bidding Directories popping up on daily basis.

Some of them are ready to sell you sitewides at the cheapest amount permonth.

Some already have almost 15-20 links which includes their network, sitewides and some more links.

Some of them are so smart that they enable whois guard on their other sites and bid it for higher bids above existing links.

    Is this acceptable?

Should not the main focus of a Bidding Directory be to pass PR and traffic to its Bidders "only". ?

Why should I bid for 200$ or more on such a bid directory when I can pay then 10$ a month and get a sitewide link?

Lets assume, you want to sell some sitewides or add your network, shouldn't there be a limitation? Say 5 outbounds max apart from those of the bidders.

This kinda approach with Bidding Directories is surely going toward the city of scamming and quick buck crew.

I think some limitations should exist with the amount of sitewide links on the page. If a directory owner decides to sell sitewide links on a bidding directory, it would simply degrade the value of the directory. Anyways, I don't understand why some advertisers are bidding hundreds of dollars on directories with a ton of outgoing links on the front page or a page without a pr.

It depends upon the buyer actually. If the buyer thinks that the bidding directory is keeping a lot of sitewides and wont provide much value for money ,then its his wish and can always close the window and dont buy link. When it comes to the directory owner, it is his wish. What can we do if some says that he is comfortable being a QBC

Another ideea would be to offer "no follow" links as sitewides. This way it will be only about getting traffic and extra exposure from sitewides and the actual bids on the main page will be the only "follow" links making those 10 or 15 bidding spots much more valuable.

I don't think site-wides make much sense on bidding directories since the main reason for bidding high is to get to the home page and get more promotional power. If you have site-wides then you have to share potential clicks. Having a site-wide banner spot might be ok but that would also canibbalize potetial clicks for those on the home page.

yes i agree with you.I am not going to have more than 10 links total to any of my directory pages. If links are more than 10 in one page, pr juice eliminated in my opinion.
