Ok, so I'm trying to get some opinions on Bid Tools. I have heard good things about Bid-Buddy as well as BidRank. Anyone know anything about these two and have opinions on them? Even better, anyone have any opinions on any other bidtools?
I used BidRank for a few years (not anymore). It was actually pretty good. I think they have a free 30-day demo. (You obviously have to have your computer on for it to work.)
I think bidding tools are becoming obsolete. Google and overture have decent smart bidding technology in them now that keeps the bid pretty much the same as what a bid tool would do.
The bid tools can optimize on conversion in ways that G/YSM will not. I'm really interested to hear experiences with Bid-Buddy, BidRank (which I've never heard of so I'm really curious) as well as Atlas One Point, Keyword Max's Bid Director, Did-It...all of them!
I used Atlas OnePoint for a while, but it was full of errors. It did not communicate well with the PPCSE's, especially with Google. However this was a year ago or so, and they may well have improved. It was certainly a great idea.
I use a german Software: www.bid-manager.de - but the progger told me that they also will publish an english version in a few month.
I've used the Traffic Estimator tool (within the AdWords suite) with pretty good results. If you don't use AdWords, you can still use this tool for free - just sign up for AdWords, but don't activate your account. Sam
