Bid for position.when to expect bids?

Was wondering at what point do you expect bids on your site?Mine is new,about 2 weeks now and i have 5 $1 bids.I have submitted now to 450 directories,bought links on 2 pr 6 sites,and am getting ready to sponsor 4 different great wordpress themes.Although the promotion is never ending,when would one expect some kind of interest in the site?Thanks...(site is in sig..)

 

With respect I believe in the bid for position market that you will need a little bit more than submitting to a few hundred directories

The successful directories in this sector have some benchmarks that are needed to become popular that is they have high PR and they have traffic

One bit of free advice that will maybe work pay somewhere between 500 - 1000USD to get a review accepted on the home page of some of the top bid for position directories

Then you will see your site pick up submissions as you will be seen as making an attempt to become a serious player

Like any market its tough, but if you want to join in, you have to compete at the top levels

All markets are the same this directory vertical is no different

 

well,i have paid about $200 to be in a few top bids sites..3 differnt ones altogether in the past week..thanks for the hints!

 

Just try to keep an eye out for certain characteristics.

like for example, a site you've never seen in your life submitted anywhere all of the sudden bidding 100$ for top placement. It's a guaranteed bid skimming scheme.

Just try and check out the backlinks the person is working on.

 

I do think that you need to be patient and just keep promoting your directory. The directories (bidding or not bidding) that have been successful from day 1 are the ones that belong to people with established reputations. But even they had to start out at the beginning and work hard to promote and build a reputation. If you keep at it, over time, you'll get the submissions.

Do some high promotiong, get some high PR and then find submissions coming up your way
