Hi everyobdy, I've jumped on the bandwagon and created a Bid Directory. Features of this directory include - SEO Friendly Links - Deeplinks - Top 10 listings also get listed on http://www.gospelrhys.co.uk (PR4) and http://rhyswynne.co.uk/ (PR2) Submissions are only $2, and will get reviewed by me. No adult or gambling sites please. http://www.bid-directory-uk.co.uk/
At the moment, I'm planning on using a few established blogs and bloggers to help promote it. I've been running a fairly successful niche directory http://www.fair-review.co.uk/ (free entry, but require a blog post to be listed), so I'd thought I'd give it a go with a bid directory. May go into other areas, such as build a few templates and link from them, of course using the experience of the community to help me
Well, as I mentioned to begin with the traffic and backlink "power" won't necessarily come from http://www.bid-directory-uk.co.uk, but from my other two sites, http://www.gospelrhys.co.uk and http://www.rhyswynne.co.uk. The former recieves around 600 visits/day, the latter 100. However, I'm looking to promote the former as like a hub for a number of my online ventures, building them up over time. Your link will feature rather prominently on the home page should it be in the top 10 links, which will attract backlink power and clickthroughs. Of course, the plan is that once Bid Directory UK begins to get it's own traffic, then the benefits to the submitters will increase. I will still keep the links on my other two sites, just I'm also not focussing solely on the home page, I would like to promote my inner directories too, so that people who don't make the home page will also get benefits for listing, as well as offering important deeplinks to the site. As I said, I'm planning on using the community to help me, and I'm calling on favours from blogging friends - rather than directly investing to begin with. Hopefully I can achieve some success
