Both Al Qaeda and Musharraf should take the blame for what happened. I think both the parties are responsible.

Former chief of ISI, Hamid Gul pointed out how evidences are being destroyed right after the Bhutto assassination.
As seen on TV, we found shortly after the assassination of late Bugum Bhutto, firemen were seen cleaning the spot with powerful water cannons.

While considering the Crime investigation procedure, the debris should have been marked and remain untouched for forensic analysis. Even if they needed to remove the debris from road they should have been moved with hand, all the chunks should be marked for further investigation.

The water cleaning would have destroyed many crucial clues such as chemicals used in explosive, blood, finger prints and small chunks.

    So what gives?

Additionally, Adrian Levy, co-author of the recently-published Deception- Pakistan, the United States and the Global Nuclear Weapons Conspiracy, told rediff.com in an exclusive interview that an honest investigation into the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto may reveal the hand of the country's military behind it.

He said, "It is not the time to give inflammatory statements but thorough and rigorous investigations are likely to find military linkages. If an open and truthful investigation takes place and the military doesn't shell out half-truths, as it has happened before, we will see the hand of the military behind her killing."

Levy says that after Bhutto's return to Pakistan, she was found to be too popular to be contained by the military. She also backed out of her power-sharing agreement with Musharraf.

I don't think it is Musharaf, the easier way for him is not to allow Benazir Bhutto to step into Pakistan at all. He don't have to waste so much efforts.

The easiest way for Mush was to kill Bhutto and blame the extremists.

Keep in mind people blamed Taliban commander Baitullah Mehsud for the attack on 18th Oct, but Mehsud denied responsibility for that attack. And even after 24 hours, neither Taliban nor AQ claimed the responsibility for the attacks.

Members of the military tried to kill Musharraf also so if they helped kill Bhutto it wouldn't be a surprise.

I think both should be blamed, Musharraf for not giving her the protection she need and Al-Qaeda for carring out the attack.

I'm not sure it was either....but I would tend to lean towards the taliban and al qaida...they would have the best reason since she was so much against them.

It's definately al-CIAda, the BBC says so.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/7163307.stm

"There have now been so many conflicting versions coming out of Pakistan of how Benazir Bhutto died and who sent the assassin that it is hard for anyone to build up an accurate picture, our security correspondent says."

But some DP P&R peeps know that all we need for it to be true is the controlled mainstream media saying so, right sheeple? :D
