I hired "Watari" to complete design services for $500 almost 2 months ago. He never completed the job and kept emailing me saying his internet was down, etc, etc. Here's an email from him to prove it... His bad experience has delayed several major Google advertising projects and severely hurt the business. I strongly recommend you stay away from Watari - horrible experience here. ...Just my $0.02
I feel sorry for you, you should have paid 50% before and 50% after completion. I hope you will resolve this issue.
Yes i agree you should not pay in full, for our client we always ask 50% upfront payment and another 50% upon completion of the project. Hi is a very good designer maybe he has a lot of projects but its not really a good practice to keep on accepting projects if you know that you can't make it on time.
