To these guys they probably feel good about what they are doing, heck they are selling you speakers for an agreed upon price are they not? They probably feel good about the service they offer instead of doing what they use to and steal nice stuff from your house!
I once had a guy at a gas station offer to sell me a pair of pants for $50. In fun I asked where they where and he stated to take his pants off. Apparently he was wearing them. Not sure if he had speakers or a white van.
they got me when i was a 16 year old working 8 hours a day at minimum wage. they even got me to throw in my old surfboard. i was SIXTEEN, COMMON GUYS
I would not buy any speakers that were not a brand I know. That be like going to walmart and going to the clearance section... you just dont do it!
LMAO - I've run into these guys at least 6 times. The scam was HQ'ed not far from my high school for a while until they got busted. I was surprised when I ran into the same scam in Sacramento, but not too surprised. You'd think they'd come up with something more original.
That is funny. I first ran into it in '89. The last time they tried to sell me the speakers was in '05.
What would be funy is to sound all enthusiastic and offer to buy 10 speakers at top price and just as you are writting a check suddenly back out..lol
Had this happen to movie. I told them the exact thing. Not sure how they can think people will fall for this trick.
