Beware! Santrex Hosting

    I have been with Santrex for 3 months running 3 VPS's.

    This company is the worst host I have ever dealt with hands down.

    They have had numerous outages, their customer service is horrid.

    Support ticket response times average around 12 hours, and when they do get back to you their responses are rude and condescending.

    I have two good examples of their type of response.

    Example 1

    After a recent outage I was sent an email claiming a hardware failure occurred. I was instructed to open a support ticket and claim a free week. After doing so this is the response I received.

    That was sent out well over a month ago, you can't claim that now.

    Yes there was an outage a month earlier and I did claim it then also, but this was a new outage and I was affected so I am entitled to receive the free week as offered.


    Example 2


    My VPS's are unmanaged, in the event I need Santrex to perform any installations to my VPS's I have to pay $15.00 USD and open a support ticket with the order number in it and explain what I need done.

    So I open a ticket with all information they need to perform the work I need done including the order number. On almost every occasion they reply saying I need to pay them and then open another ticket.

    It took me a solid week of fighting with them after hiring them to setup my VPS just to have them set my Hostname properly.


    I have a long list of grievances with Santrex. More details, copies of emails and tickets have been saved and can be produced if anyone needs further information.

    Thanks for the info.
    Its a known fact that this company VPS suffer lot of down time.
    Not only DP,have many complain about this but you can search it using gogle what other people say about it.

    One of my client used thier shared hosting didnt face many issues with that

    I have bad experience with them too!! Past year, a VPS. When someone downloaded a file the server went down for ours till I reset it.

    I have to inform you all of a mistake made on my behalf. As I was threatened by Santrex with legal action.

    This error is in regards to this part of the OP:

    After being in contact with Santrex support I was able to determine this specific outage did not affect me as I am hosted on a different server.
    .
    So my apologies for that particular error.

    I do however stand by my other claims of service and support by Santrex and I do have all records and logs to support my claims.
